 The surface of our skin shows sun damage, fine lines, and brown sun spots. The second layer contains the important elastic tissue and collagen fibers that give the skin its tightness. With sunlight and time we see the loss of these important structural fibers and increasing looseness of the skin. Xage Medical Spa utilizes Botox Cosmetic and dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane and Radiesse in tandem to restore youth to an aging face and allowing you to enhance and shape facial contours. Botox and Juvederm, Restylane or Radiesse products are part of tremendous advances in the science of non-invasive medical aesthetics and anti-ageing. These products work differently and are used on different areas of the face in complimentary ways to treat anything from fine lines to deep wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes and mouth.
Botox
Botox is a safe, effective, and affordable non-surgical, physician administered treatment that temporarily smoothes the lines on the forehead, between the eyes, and around the "crow's feet" areas of the eyes. Several tiny injections of Botox into the targeted muscles block nerve impulses temporarily relaxing muscles and preventing them from completely contracting and forming wrinkles and unwanted lines in your face. The overlying skin remains unaffected and no one will know you had the procedure done. You may very well be asked what you're doing to "look so good". Dr. Porter's experience includes over 5 years and thousands of satisfied Botox patients injected. The overlying skin is unaffected so no one will know you had a Botox procedure done.  Restylane is a synthetic filler based on a natural substance called hyaluronic acid that offers fewer complications, better results, and a longer effect than collagen. Restylane uses the body's own material to restore tissue to its youthful state through tiny well placed injections into the skin with a very fine needle adding volume to lips and wrinkles. Restylane results are instant, natural looking, long-lasting, and safe to your skin. How long Restylane lasts varies according to the person but can be expected to last about 6-8 months. You can receive touch ups any time after the original procedure according to the degree of perfection you wish to obtain.
 Radiesse Radiesse is a new FDA approved injectable product for filling of folds and lines. Radiesse consists of tiny microspheres of a synthetic material called calcium hydroxylapatite (30%) that is combined with a common hydrogel (70%) used in a vast array of products. The result is a white, creamy like substance. While calcium hydroxylapatite has similar chemical and structural characteristics as bone and teeth and therefore is naturally compatible with the body, the Radiesse material is synthetic and man-made similar to a calcium phosphate. Due to the safe and compatible materials used in Radiesse no pre-testing of any kind is required. There have been no reported reactions from use of the Radiesse product. The advantage of this product is the potential for a long lasting effect. Most patients treated with Radiesse should look for a correction which last around two years although some patients treatment will last three years or longer. Radiesse will remain soft and take on the characteristics of the surrounding tissue. New soft tissue will gradually replace the Radiesse over time with most replacement occurring within three months. Patients report Radiance remaining soft and passing the “kiss test”. Typical Radiesse treatments include: smoothing and contouring smile lines or nasolabial folds, wrinkles at the corner of the mouth, vertical lip lines, acne scars, facial defects or recessions including nasal defects (non-surgical rhinoplasty), frown lines, restoring volume in and around the cheeks, providing lip definition and modest enhancement or correcting asymmetrical features.
